I make a point of transfer all the 28 of them I caught in LeafGreen to every game I play.
They're all named after minerals like Azurite or Rhodonite, except the G one who's called Goldesprit (because Gold and Silver), that's because Unown-G is my favorite form.
Right now Goldesprit has all the Gen 4+ ribbons I could get. Which are honestly not that many because
he only has one move so that makes things like Contests literally impossible. But it's okay, at least I managed to get him that glowing movie thing from BW2. I love most of these non-battle oriented minigames because it makes him a bit more useful.
I also loved the poké pelago in Gen 7 because it meant that Goldesprit's 27 bros could also play around in comfy islands instead of just rotting on a box like in every game before.
And even though it doesn't really count, a few months ago I did a solo run in HeartGold using an Unown-G I also named Goldesprit and posted it in a shitmon solo run general we used to have here. I even beat Red with him. It was fun.
So you can call it useless all you want but it's definitely not forgotten or unloved for as long as I draw breath.
