At this point nothing. I could handle the loss culling if it actually meant quality in every other area, but we obviously aren't getting that. The removal of Megas just makes walking away that much easier.

Good exploration, being able to progress the main game in multiple ways, minimal focus on story and good post game content. That, along with good music, is all I want out of it.

New evolutions for old Pokemon would help. Better Pokemon animations, a solid single-player story, battle frontier, and an actual rebalancing of key imbalances such as how shit ice is and how OP water is.

If all of those were present, I might consider buying it, but as it stands, the one-two punch of cut Pokemon and dyna-max has really convinced me it isn't worth it

Difficulty settings, I'd like to be able to increase the challenge from trainers (more pokemon on their team, better movesets and AI) without having to handicap myself.
Challenging and interesting postgame, I don't care about legendaries at all so those parts of the postgame fall flat
Replayability, I probably would have enjoyed sun and moon more if there wasn't so much of the game that you are stuck in cutscenes. I want a game that I can pick up and restart without having to play a 2 hour long tutorial
None of it matters though if they are going to cull pokemon

I want to get lost in this game, figuratively and literally. Side content like contests, distractions like the game corner, setting up secret bases, alternate areas like the safari zone. Mons that follow you, random NPCs that work with you.

Routes that are large with side paths leading to some sort of secret, unusual areas that take you off the main road, alternate areas that can change on time, day or season.

Things to do after the elite four, new areas to explore, numerous battle facilities, rematches with old faces..

I've seen PS2 JRPGs stuffed with more content than what we've seen over the decade.

Reducing the sheer amount of RNG to achieve a quality pokemon, If they're worried about VGC attendance and competitive balance, lowering the amount of overhead needed to even begin working is a step in the right direction. IVs just removed, natures not set in stone, changing abilities.

Returning Dex Nav, Super Training, VS Seekr, and various other tools.

Difficulty modes returning, I'd dig including crazy things like Nuzlocke, monotype, and inverted modes.

Not a fan of controlling player options by removing them. Some mons have sentimental value, other people don't want to retrain an entire team of bred ev trained pokemon, some mons are event exclusive and will probably never see the light of day.

It'd be a show a bit of good faith that they're listening to criticisms.

It'd take at least two out of three of these things to get me to drop 60$ on a new title after all this.

I don't really care about graphics that bad, but if they're going to say that they're adding a huge amount of high quality animations, the game needs to look jaw dropping. Bare minimum 30FPS, moves that have weight behind them, mons that react and express themselves. I want something that looks like it came out this year.
