In Gen 9 they'll cut battling entirely, you'll just walk around an endless expanse of blocky trees and empty open land and get told what an awesome trainer you are by all of the NPCs.

Hidden Abilities will be cut to balance pokemon, because it "favors" hardcore players too much and there are otherwise inaccessible to casual players instead of just making HA's easier to get. Pokemon will only have 1 or 2 abilities, respectively.

If Game Freak are planning what I think they are, we'll likely see less and less pokemon stay in regional dex from past gens besides KANTOOOO while they do less and less new mons because they eventually can't even do basic animations/ect. without overdoing it and going full tard. And eventually even Kantodex would get butchered so as to "not seem biased". Ensuring eventually by Gen 12 assuming Japan hasn't sent the Yakuza to have them "humbly retire" that there's only 50-60 pokemon in regional dex total forever. And 3 of them will always be the Pika line because of fucking course
