Why do we beg gamefreak for remakes that will butcher everything we love about the originals?
Firered and Soulsilver were genuinely good and necessary but ORAS was completely uneeded. The demand for a sinnoh remake continues to baffle me.

I wanted Sinnoh remakes ever since XY came out. I was a little concerned about how ORAS came out, but I figured the DP remakes wouldn't be so bad. Now that I see how Pokemon is being handled with Let's Go and SS, I don't want them attempting a DP remake until 2027 or whenever they get their shit together.

Some do but Sakamoto does not. He considers Super his magnus opus and Fusion isn't dated enough for a remake which is why Mercury Steam's pitched remake turned into SR.

I wanted one for Kanto too, especially after seeing what every other series on the Switch did, but that demake was basically just spitting in the face of the series.

I don't really understand why people want remakes, considering the current situation with Gamefreak. Sure, it could be nice to "revive" your memories from something you already experienced, but this time "better", but as I said, not only a remake of Gen IV would be bad, but it would give the original games a bad image. I mean, the games already have a kind of bad reputation, remakes would just make things worse.
