I have a very simple question to ask. If the bank used those crusty jpgs for the dex does it mean that home will also use them because there are no HD models or does it mean no dex in home either?

They already gave a reason. It was to streamline and segment off games to make each one feel like a unique region. This has not all too much to do animation as we have seen in SS

All I'm saying is that if it has anything other than pure sprites it means content as in models not in SS. It has to only have sprites so what are those extra features they speak of when you cant use a single 3D model?

Exactly this. Since Home is gonna be on mobile, and they've mentioned how you'll be able to play or interact with your Pokemon in it in some way, Pokemon Home is probably gonna be Dream World 2, using inanimate 2D jpegs of that flat colored art-style that bounce around. Maybe mix in some Pokemon Pelago-esque functionality, since we're dealing with entire boxes of Pokemon. Wouldn't be terrible, but if Pokemon is touting this as a "solution" to cutting Pokemon in the main games, that's inexcusable.

Of course, there's always the galaxybrain play of GF pretending they aren't gonna add national sex, holding out for a bit then "apologizing" and adding all the Pokemon into SS, in the hopes that by "listening to the fans" they can trick people into ignoring their various other bits of lazy shit.
