Who cares? They have attention span of a goldfish so when the next trailer/gameplay reveal/whatever drops it'll go back to 99% likes anyway.
Give it even more time and I guarantee it will become Unova 2.0 with its own set of rabid deluded apologists claiming how the Snap was a refreshing new take on the gameplay because you had to try out new pokemon instead of sticking to your favourites.

There will be apologists but it will be the same kind of apologists who think that Gen 7 were good games. Gen 5 was a completely different animal, all of the decisions made were for the sake of their misguided vision for the game. All the decisions being made now are either out of laziness or greed.

Stop this. You were able to get old pokemon in Black/White during the main game with GTS, and you could import your own old mons in the post game
The mons were also in the code of the game, while we don't know if that's going to be the case for SwoShi
