I'd say it nerfed Dragons too much. What GF should've done in Gen 6 is give Ice a Dragon resist and leave it at that
At least Fairy makes Poison relevant...

The only things that got fucked are outrage spamming (only debatable good thing to come out it this in this regard), and the few 4x weak ones like Hydreigon. Other than that not much changed, the top tier dragons are still solid choices and very often have coverage to deal with fairy types too.
The real uncalled for victims were fighting and bug.

Not saying it'd be useless, but it's definitely more a buff to Ice than a nerf to Dragon.

At least that makes thematically sense, but most of the type matchups of fairy are very stupid. Dark, for instance, could have been SE on fairy too, to add some pressure and balance the new steel resistance to it.

Dragon was already overrated. Ice moves are so widely available offtype, often for 4x, that playing a dragon is like walking into a minefield anyway. Adding fairy didn't really change much in that regard.

Dragon types are still good, but now you can just run 5 dragons 1 magnezone and create one of the strongest teams in the meta

Fairy is a bit overpowered itself, but not as bad as Dragon was in gen 5

Spikes for ground (ironically the only ground type able to learn spikes being diggersby)
Toxic Spikes for poison
and Sticky Webs for Bug

It would just be given to every single water type, just like stealth rock has absolutely fucking stupid distribution. Should be for rock types only. Toxic should be poison mon only as well, makes no sense that every pokemon can spew toxic sludge

It's weird, as if GF actually paid attention to competitive during gen 5 and decided to calibrate it, but with only a superficial understanding of it. Like seeing u turn as a common move and thus making fairy resistant to it.
