I'm actually done with pokemon. I stopped playing after Gen 4 because life got busy and I let other games take priority, I kept up to date with the series though through TCGO and Showdown. I liked the look of B/W, I thought megas in X/Y were cool and I thought that the alolan region looked awesome in Sun and Moon, and I regret not having a chance to play these games.
Sw/Sh was gonna be my return to pokemon games but now I don't think so. I might go back and play gen 5/6/7 though, they looked cool as fuck. I'm not even mad that they didn't add all the old pokemon to Sw/Sh, i'm just mad about Dynamax. Its such a lazy combat mechanic, and its just a shitter version of mega evolution. I don't know why they didn't just expand the megaevolution concept instead. Yeah yeah I know that dynamax is not the same as Mega and only lasts 3 turns, but its gotten ridiculous to the point that you can now probably have a mega-charizard, dynamax it and then get it to use a Z-Move. I dunno why but that just seems dumb to me, like they are over complicating things.
I also don't like how this now sets a precedent that we need a new combat gimmick introduced every gen.
