Reminder that every game since gen2 took features out of the next games.
Or in other words, every game since gen2 added in features that were missing in the next installments.

"Flavor of the month" features like Z-Crystalls and Dynamax have been a thing for the longest time in this franchise.

Just to list a few
>day night cycle added in gen2, missing in gen3
>battle frontier added in gen3 and 4, missing eversince
>following Pokemon added in gen4 (HGSS), missing eversince (besides in LGPE for Kanto mons)
>seasons added in gen5, missing eversince
>mega evolutions added in gen6, carried over in gen7 and missing in gen8
>bike in every single generation but not in gen7
etc.
Not defending the missing nationaldex, but the old games arent as good as they should be.

What we need, what we DESERVE, is a generation that has all features from all previous 7 generations combined.
