These games were a step in the right direction and proved Gamefreak could take criticism.

Not the best but marginally better than the base games and honestly after the tutorial it was pretty great.

I'm playing through this now and I actually like it

just beat the Mimikyu boss and went through Po town.

Whats people's problem with this game? Btw, this is MUCH better than the original Sun and Moon. They have a lot more variety in the grass, and I love it. I have a Pancham and a Pupitar in the party. I'm pretty sure these weren't catchable in the original Sun/Moon.

This might unironically be the last good Pokemon game ever made for the rest of my life.

Because in terms of maingame changes the games are great, but they don't add much else otherwise. Sun and Moon themselves aren't even that bad most of the complaints boil down to the cutscene length.

Neither of those were major problems with SM, though, shit like the inability to skip the lengthy cutscenes were, and USM didn't fix them. Hell, USM actually outright removed some content from the base games, that's fucking retarded.

only bad thing I hear about it is that the story sucks and some characters got changed for the worst. Which I don't really care about in pokemon games.

yeah I guess so. I pirated the game for free on my 3DS, so maybe I'd be pissed if I actually spent money on it. But as I'm playing through it now, I'm finding it to be surprisingly decent.

Other than Lusamine's story being derailed Ultra Sun/Moon was fun. Though its mainly for necrozma/post game and the earlier parts are a massive slog if you've done them before.
