It really isn't an average though, otherwise no starter would be in S or D, so it isn't exactly reliable. It probably just picks what tier the starter got in the most and went with that.

For fucks sake, you can't possibly be THIS retarded. It's simple, the starters that end up on the highest tier more consistently also get Top Tiered in the average list.

Let's say there's 1000 aggregated Tier Lists and list the 2 highest ranking starters. If 900 of those lists have Greninja in S/A+ tiers and 880 of those have Charizard in S/A+ tiers, then they're clearly the highest rated of the bunch and will reach 1st and 2nd place regardless of how hard those other 100 tier lists coould possibly bring down their "average".

Think about what you just said and look at the results again.
For a starter to be averaged in S, it would need to be rated S at least 51% of the time and A+ 49% of the time or less. Or it would require for it to be rated S 75%+ of the time and A 25%- of them.
Looking at some of the individual tierlists, this really isn't the case. Infernape appears on the lower side of the results most of the time it isn't S. But since its fans like it a lot, it got rated S more than it got rated A+, A, B, C or D. This doesn't mean that the average opinion is that Infernape is an S rank starter, just that it's the most common opinion of the bunch.

Plus it's just 250ish people. It isn't exactly "The internet".

Gen 2 starters are boring as fuck. No way they're top They're as if someone had taken out anything interesting about the Gen 1's starters and added nothing in return. They're average at best.

Overall the list is pretty based. First 2 tiers have all the good starters, but in the eying order. That's something I can deal with, though. Just drop Deshitueye down to b or d along with his other inbred buddies and you're golden. I'm glad most people dislike the Alolabortions as much as I do.
