I gotta say, I don't get the hype around B2/W2. I almost didn't even finish it I got so bored.
The general Pokemon selection is pretty meh, you can't transfer or even BREED till postgame (the latter pissed me off a lot cause I'm autistic about breeding my team), the gyms and towns didn't really pop to me, and, worst of all, the story was shit compared to B/W.
Like, the stuff with neo team plasma was nowhere near as interesting as the stuff with N's team plasma, and the story beats were too far spread out before just JAMMING it all in right at the end. It felt like they were rushing through the main antagonist plot once I got to the dragon city.
Nowhere near the hype of encountering N and his team throughout the game only for them to bust into the fucking E4 and fuck up the usual formula. That shit stuck with me.
Same way I feel Sun/Moon is more memorable than USUM. Lusamine's whole arc and the crazy jellyfish form was so unique (if a bit disappointing we couldn't fight her herself) that it became one of the most memorable moments in Pokemon to me.
Now I'm hoping there's some good shit with Leon being like a secret villain/pawn of the villain come Sword/Shield.
