How long did it take you to wake up and start only playing Platinum, Heart Gold / Soul Silver and Black / White 1 plus 2 whenever you wanted your Pokemon fix?

It took me until I played the demo of Sun / Moon. I was already disappointed with X / Y and ORAS, but I kept hope the next release would fix it. After I played that demo, I realized they wouldn’t surpass what they achieved in those games I mentioned earlier so I didn’t even bother with the main release. I look at the Sword / Shield news nowadays and I can’t even get mad at the things making people furious.
