>>39042850The Chespin line is alright. Concept is great but the execution is a little meh. I personally think Chesnaught should've looked more knight-y, but I like the "gentle giant" vibe it has with its current design. As it is, it also better balances the rest of the trio. Quilladin is hilarious in the most adorable way and nobody will convince me otherwise.
Fennekin and Braixen are pretty good designs, until Delphox goes for the most uninspired evolution in the series by just getting bigger while also losing most of what made Braixen great. Delphox also looks like it can't move really well. A shame because it had the potential to be a great looking fire starter line, but they really dropped the ball with the final stage.
Froakie line is fantastic. Great concepts, great execution, final stage that looks different without betraying the rest of the line: it's great. Only flaw is how Greninja sort of loses the bubble elements its pre-evos have, but it works great both as a standalone Pokemon and as part of its evolution line. Not surprising it got as popular as Charizard in Japan.
