The excuse that they’re using higher quality animations is bullshit as well. We’ve seen in the trailers that the Pokemon are literally using the same animations from previous gens. And as also pointed out, the mesh models are all the same.
The reality is that game freak are a business and it’s quite evident that they don’t care what the fans want or about making a high quality game, they only care about sales and making money. Masuda has been caught lying repeatedly for years. He’s just shilling the games, and his excuse for cutting pokemon is just that, shilling. It’s another lie to justify the removal of content, so that they can keep releasing more and more games as fast and as effortlessly as possible.
