This is all Black and White's fault. They started forcing these stories on us and making the game about "adventure" and meeting new people in new places instead of wandering aimlessly through endless routes of ratata until we bump into the next cut-tree or smashable boulder we need to go find a gym badge for. This is why Kanto will always be the best, it didn't make you sit through cut-scenes and follow dialog to tell you about truths and ideals or how arceus crapped out the pokemon world, you just earned HMs, got badges and moved on

You should look more into building a rig, Anon. If you're frugal, do your research, and set your budget then you can almost always build a better PC and get games for it on whatever budget that you would use to buy a modern console and buy the games and subscriptions you would need to use it properly. Plus there's the fact that if you want to you can plan your parts list so that you can upgrade parts later on down the line when you have more money.

If you're strapped for cash then PC is almost always the better option for gaming unless you're looking specifically for some part of the proprietary functionality that a console can offer.

I normally wouldn't talk about it, I'm not huge on graphics. However the issue is when you tell me the trade off for losing mons is better animations, yet the animations are at best slightly better than what was in USUM.

It was just so sudden. Maybe if during Gen 7 they alluded to how it’s been getting hard to include all Pokémon and if Gen 8 looked more than Gen 7 but HD I would forgive it. But it casually came out of nowhere in a very obscure method of announcing it.

I always imagined the game that would be the final game to have every Pokémon introduced at that time would be something to end on a grand high note. But it was fucking USUM of all games. And that’s the most insulting bit, the last game where “Everyone is Here” happened without anybody realising it. I honestly would’ve been fine if they announced that Gen 8 would be the last gen to do this, but nope.

It's not about technological limitations. It's about balancing a constantly growing pool of pokémon, moves, abilites, items etc. Imagine all the possible matches that you can have between 2 pokémon, which can learn 30-40 moves each, can have varying stats, abilities etc. now multiply that by 800, and multiply that by 800 again. That's something that simply takes way too long.

If anything I wish they would just start fresh. No old pokémon at all, new pokedex, new setting, new everything new combat system

Yeah. i hate how GF feels the need to add a new gimmick in every Gen. At least Gen 3 had double battles which added a lot to the game. Now every gimmick is stupid and forgotten right away.

All of you guys do know that the core gameplay didn´t change right? It´s still a monster catching game with turnbased battles and shit. The only complaint is "no all transferable pokemon" and "muh tree textures". You faggots unironically act like they changed everything in this game and not just limit you and the graphics didn´t live up to your expectations.
