Thinking about trading my 3DS XL to buy a New 2DS XL to replay all my DS + VC games.

My 3DS XL is perfectly fine. Is the New 2DS XL much of an improvement screenwise, etc. or am I just being retarded?

Dont listen to him, the new 2ds is great. I have had pic related for over a year and its a solid model.
Its a must if you wanna play double battles or some new DS exclusives, but thats about it. Its super cheap as well, tho the material quality feels worse than the 3ds

Unless you're gonna play Xenoblade Chronicles for New or dedicate yourself day in and out to Monster Hunter don't bother. Changes for other games are negligible, guess you could make a point for the Resident Evil games and Mario Kart benefitting from a larger screen but that's about it.

Screen isn't any better, but the d-pad is good and clicky and the cartridge slot has a cover that prevents things from accidentally popping out. The overall shape makes it fit in pockets easier than a N/3DS XL. Have owned both, prefer N2DS.

For DS and VC games? No. The best advantage of the New 3DS for Pokemon is the improved gen 7 framerate (and gen 6 if you hack it).
