This would've never happened if the games ended at the second generation like they were supposed to. Red was supposed to be the final battle for fucks sake.

I get that you guys like Platinum, Emerald, and BW2. Even the games that weren't made by GF like collosseum. We would still get HGSS as a remake.

But Tajiri wanted the games to end at the second generation. Pokemon isn't like SMT or Final Fantasy. It's gone on for far too long.
