Stop shitting on Gen6 because it felt too easy. Just disable exp share.

Sun and Moon on the other hand. Had :
●infinite handholding
●every 4 steps some shit cutscene or Npc interrupts you
●fucking Tapu's
●more Kanto pandering

it's the worst 3rd edition Pokemon game ever next with Yellow and 3rd edition pokemon games aren't supposed to be bad.

gen 5 was just gen 4 but with more storyshit and more advanced graphics + the new mons, X/Y actually made the game interesting to play again by ACTUALLY adding and changing shit

I know you did this to spite that autist that keeps making the XY threads, but i agree.
S/M were too busy sucking off Yo-kai Watch, so they forgot to be good pokemon games. X/Y were way more ambitious, but are clearly unfinished. I give X/Y a 6/10 for "effort" but S/M are pretty much 4/10's.

Now that i think about it, X/Y also had a better dex. Only Goodra, Binacle and Volcanion were utter shit, and the rest were either just ok to actually great. SM's dex is pretty much shit overall. Not even Vikavolt and Golisopod can save that trainwreck.

To be honest XY were probably one of the most polished Vanilla Pokemon titles to date. The only one coming close is BW.
Compare it with RB RS SM and especially DP you will notice how good it really is.

You are entirely correct.

Gen 5 was great, but it began to introduce problems.
Gen 6 was disappointing, but decent. The problems persisted and became worse.
Gen 7 was kind of bad at first, then it kept getting worse and worse to the point it got awful.
Gen 8 is a disaster and an insult to all the fans.

Nobody is saying gen 6 was good. Its best aspect was the online multiplayer, everything else was disappointing in some way. Gen 7 cut out the good multiplayer and made everything else worse. LGPE took every worst aspect of XY and made an entire game out of it. And now SS is just offensively bad.

Gen 6 was the beginning of the nostalgia pandering era, where KANTOOOOO started to get prioritized over actual good game design. It also made Flying-types look terrible for at least 2 whole generations because of that shitty Sky Battle gimmick that was quickly thrown aside right after, just like all the "new features" that Game Freak keeps implementing and then discarding with each and every game they put out nowadays.

Honestly, those throwbacks in X/Y weren't even so bad considering they also gave attention to the other gens with the features as well, especially Hoenn. Gen 7 just straight-up went KANTOOOO when one of the features just only included the Kanto Pokemon. Not to mention Gen 5 went KANTOOOO with some of the new Pokemon being callbacks to Kantomon.

Gen 5* and especially 6 introduced the problems, gen 7 developed them, LGPE was an insult and SS is just awful.

*I only mention gen 5 because of the linear region, which actually made sense in the game's design, whether you like the idea or not, unlike in gen 6 where it makes no sense at all.

Too many to count. SM on the other hand had so many ugly mons I just went and used mainly old mons and bara starter, USUM only old mons. Only ones who I thought were cool and trained are tsareena, vikavolt and mimikyu, but only used tsareena in a team. Araquanid's also pretty ok but I'm still completing the pokedex on this game and never caught it

You didn't really need to read it online to see it though. All I'm pointing out is that you can't accuse X/Y of starting it when Gen 5 did it first, although 6 did go a bit harder but still gave the other gens time to shine.

Oh come on, Munna looks nothing like Drowzee. And Drillbur looks nothing like Diglett. And so on. They're just new Pokémon based on the same animals as gen 1 Pokémon. It's not the same situation as with MegaEvolutions and Alolan Forms (I love all 3 of those though, all of them show how much better they've become at designing Pokémon, too bad the games themselves keep getting worse)
