The way I see it, whenever I do deadlifts I'm embarrassing myself. I used to do them heavy, but after realizing my limits I started using barely any weight, but that itself is embarrasing too. That's why I stick with machines.

Bench press
deadlifts
squats
sit ups
pull ups is all you need

Dude nobody is going to judge you. I started out literally curling 15 pound dumbells. Everybody was bro-tier to me in my gym. Don't worry man we're all gonna make it. Just try your best and make sure to prioritize good form over INSANE weight because if you do insane weight you probably aren't doing the exercise right at all and you're going to hurt yourself.

Not him but I've been trying to get /fit/ and it turns out that while I fucking hate running I genuinely enjoy swimming and have been going nearly every day for at least an hour, but I kind of feel stuck. Is solo swimming not a good enough workout?

Swimming is excellent for cardio, try going lifting after a nice swim if you actually want to build a lot of muscle.

That said you can do intensive swimming x2 a day and you can get lean as fuck with that.
