>>39049773Accelgor is pigeon holed as a dedicated lead pokemon. It's going to be compared against Mespirit, Lead-Aerodactyl and Froslass. Sadly accelgor doesn't do offer much differently from these other mons. Aero and Mespirit have greater power and get up rocks and Froslass can spinblock.
I can talk about Escav for a while though. Escav is a giant blob of stats and its definitely its movepool holding it back. It's forced to run the same 2 mediocre moves on every set + knock off and another attack. Iron Head and Megahorn. Megahorn is not a good move anymore. It was fun spamming it on scarfed moxie heracross in gen 5 but those days are sadly over. With all these wish passing fairies, bulky steels and sorta bulky Mega Blastoises running about Megahorns days are done.
Iron Head is ass. Such a terrible move for this pokemon. Give it Gyro Ball instead please.
Other steel types such as Lucario, Metagross, Stakataka, Scizor, Steelix, Mega-Aggron, Bisharp, Doublade, Magnezone, Mega-Mawile or even Silvally-Steel of all things are valued over Escavalier for their flexibility, often better steel STAB, better secondary STAB, more varied coverage and higher utility.
Overcoat is pretty niche as well. It's strong against spore but escav isn't affected by sand and lol hail lol. Give it Cloud 9 or Sap Sipper instead and people would love to use it with everything else as is. Megahorn, Iron head and all.
