Because the meta will become stale. It's why they always open up to the national dex after a couple seasons, though tightening up on what's allowed in followig seasons would help immensely to avoid pdon having his fun

I don't at all disagree that a forced regional meta will be stale, which is why it's so funny to me that people think that the SwSh meta is going to be any more creative than the initial Gen 6/7 metas.
