I agree, they do evolve quick. I know I can just cancel it but I'd prefer it if they simply evolved at higher levels or with another condition besides friendship. I want to enjoy some time with each stage.

It absolutely doesn’t make sense to me that Fairies resist Bug. If anything, Bug should be super effective against them. If you take a look at all the fairy tale princesses, you’ll see that they’re terrified of all kinds of bugs. This same logic of fear is why Fairu ke weak to Poison (poison apple) and Steel (swords and spears). The introduction of Fairy simply gave Bug type another disadvantage that they didn’t need.

I feel very strongly about this because I love Bug type and Scizor happens to be my favourite Pokemon of all time.

To piggyback, I also think the inclusion of fairies hurt Fighting Types much more than Dragon Types as most fighting types have absolutely dogshit SpD that can't resist psychic attacks and anyways while still being unable to hit ghost but be hit by them. Dark Type probably needed more weakness though.

Erm, it's not just modern fairy tales and Disney stuff that fairies draw from. Fae classically are fucking dicks. Literally if they got rid of Fairy type, they could retype most of them as Dark type. Fairies are weak to Steel because Cold Iron is a common weakness. Poison comes from modern depictions of them being affected by pollution. Resisting Bug is because they are one with nature, plus Bug acts as a superhero type and magic fucks with heroes. And hitting Fighting super effective is because Fighting is also seen as a hero type and again, magic > the hero

I'm just saying I don't think that all the design decisions about the bug type were made with kamen rider in mind, I think there was some inspiration there on a couple specific mons, acceglor being the most obvious example, but to say that the entire bug type is based off of kamen rider is reductive and not really accurate.
