it would be a way to incentivise remake sales but while the 3ds isn't very update friendly (can only do a few patches) and the switch no longer has that limitation I don't see them doing this it'd also be a bit on the scummy side

There is no reason for us to believe SS will add all the pokemon back in or be compatible with whatever comes out next. Cant do new forms in Platinum with DP, B2W2 with BW, ORAS with XY, USUM with SM. Pokemon has been bare minimum effort forever
