They've "had time" and actually got it when XY came in with the absurdly hi-poly models that they still use for GO/LegPee/etc. I can only think people who still harp on this like the idiot in OP is that
a) They genuinely think they make new models every game
b) They believe they're being woke and avoiding crunch even though this isn't how crunch works.
The fucking irony of B is that most people talking about this are working FOR THE CONSUMER and they respond it with "well maybe the multibillion companies know what they're doing and also hey now those old games won't be "obsolete" :)" AS IF PEOPLE DON'T REPLAY THEM ANYWAYS.
