In my opinion? It would've been perfectly fine for them to cut out-of-dex pokemon... if the excuses weren't just straight up lies. That's the part that ticks me off.

It's amazing how many people call the pissed off fans entitled cry babies. Most of us would be way more ok with this if the game ACTUALLY LOOKED good. But it doesn't, it ranges from barely above mid tier 3DS games to N64. Well maybe the mechanics will be fun? Except it's Pokemon, they won't change that significantly. And the story... Ex-fucking-actly. I was okay with the 3ds games, as they had more of a reason to be like that (except for all the unused assets and stuff) but I put my foot down at legpiss, and I'm keeping it down for Sword and Shilled.

I sadly bought LGPE because I believed it was them splitting the franchise into casual and hardcore. God that game... First Pokemon game I have never replayed. But that was fine, after all, "Well now we have a casual's stream"

Best part is all the fan made bank programs. We can literally get these games after modders have done GameFreak's job for them and put in a good story, good (or at least not puke worthy) graphics, and all the Pokemon in, and we don't ever need to touch GameFreak's servers

I'm with you two 1997 anon. I'm glad I was red pilled on Shitfreak by following /vp/ for all of gen 6 and quit the franchise during the first installments of the downfall, but seeing normies finally show aggression at Shitfreak and get slapped hard by the rude awakening I was gradually eased into is the most blessed experience I never thought possible.
So in the meantime, even if I didn't want it to come to this and had hoped Gamefreak would bring back a market to the older demographic like Black/White, I'll just enjoy the designs, praise gens 1 to 5, maybe get into Showdown because everyone is there, and enjoy the dumpster fire that is the official games from the sidelines

I always imagined the game that would be the final game to have every Pokémon introduced at that time would be something to end on a grand high note. But it was fucking USUM of all games. And that’s the most insulting bit, the last game where “Everyone is Here” happened without anybody realising it. I honestly would’ve been fine if they announced that Gen 8 would be the last gen to do this, but nope.
