Evil teams as a whole suck: they feel shoehorned in gens 1 and 2, aqua/magma and galactic would have been less obnoxious if there was less backtracking, and the story in gens 5, 6 and 7 all suffer because the villain team is the center of attention. The games would be better if they focused more on developing already established characters rather than just putting in "evil cuz evil" team. Like, you're friends with your rival until you beat him too many times and he starts to become more hostile towards you out of a sense of inferiority
