I don't own a switch and I probably wasn't going to buy one for Pokemon anyways, but now I'm definitely not.

I think pokemon was over for me somewhere in between 6th and 7th gen. There was a realistic timeline in which VGC could've been a legitimate, mainstream thing, but Pokemon decided against it.
