YW4 has a completely different combat system compared to its previously releases, and Level 5 didn't pull the "le future proof" model bullshit that Game Freak did. And at the very least they confirmed more will be coming in updates.

Wrong, that was talking about the franchise as a whole's total Pokemon Count thus far, which counts basically all forms except for Spinda's Patterns.

Yes, there will be over 1000 Pokemon in the game because Dynamaxes, Forms, count as new Pokemon altogether, and Dynamaxes effectively double a Pokemon's Form rep to begin with, so if someone like Vivillon were in the Pokedex, that'd mean literally 40 "Pokemon" would come from JUST Vivillon's Patterns as well as Dynamaxed Vivillon's Patterns.

Except we don't know if Dynamax count as an alternate form since it is just the same pokemon but bigger. Also Mega evolved pokemon aren't in the game and I don't think there going to Primal reversion as well. Also Vivillon haven't been confirm for Galar ether.

The fact that SWSH need had to maintain 1000 model even without a full national dex should make you wonder how much model Game-freak would had to include if they brought all the pokemon in the game. Even Youkai Watch or Digimon never include anything near 1000 Youkai or Digimon.
