It would be a really nice region if they didn't interrupt you with cutscenes every half a route. I thought maybe I was just misremembering and it's all memes, but I'm playing Ultra Sun and that's exactly what happens.

Yeah I'm doing the same at the moment. I really like the region and the pokemon variety but dear lord I forgot how many cutscenes there were.

The exploration is still pretty shit though since all the "dungeons" and routes are anaemic, though there were faint glimmers where you allowed to tread off that beaten path that I genuinely enjoyed.

The region itself is not far off from being bretty gud. It needed an actual BEEG city, dive, and one or 2 legit caves.
