Yeah i guess that's a good reason to get this one, and the 16 bit mode.

I don't have a ps4 so I want to see how this one looks before buying it on the switch, the onyl thing that stops me from buying it is that it might be a lot more expensive than the ps4 version.

The Switch version is also the S version. It has more story content and other stuff like JP voice acting and choosing between midi and orchestrated music. Well worth the sacrifice of somewhat lesser graphics. And waiting a few months offcourse.

If you really want to get into the series, I recommend picking up the GameCube original. It's the best in the series so far. The 3DS remake has weird controls from what I understand because it's a GameCube game designed for that controller with accommodations made for the 3DS controls since it was built off Dark Moon. I recommend playing Dark Moon last as I feel it's a far cry from what the original is or what 3 eventually will become. The mission structure is just weird since it breaks up the exploration(a big part of the game) into small chunks which really fucks with how everything is sort of laid out. There's a lot of going through the same areas for different missions in that game for ultimately the same purpose whereas in the original you only backtracked to go to new areas in previous parts of the mansion or you were going back to Chauncey's room to heal after a rough ghost encounter.

I was actually a tad interested by this when E3 came around. It just looked like a repetitive "beat up the bad guys and mash buttons" kind of game when it was revealed(to be fair, didn't pay too much attention) but when I saw you basically enslaved a creature with a chain to temporarily do your bidding like a more extreme version of Pokemon Ranger I was a little more intrigued.
