The game on the right is from a franchise that's existed on consoles for years, whereas the game on the left has JUST now started to exist on console, it makes perfect sense that they aren't going to have a graphics style as good as BOTW.

I mean even the fuckin Persona series, funded by SEGA, had to make a test game before jumping to PS3.
Catherine was pretty good and it definitely had its effect on making Persona 5 that much better, but even then it couldn't be done without significant delays, being pushed to a newer console, and then getting delayed again.

If only Pokemon would do the same - Release TOWN on Switch before a mainline Pokemon game and then delay SnS if they encountered unsatisfactory product too close to the scheduled release date.

but nah, gotta have a new Pokemon game every year
