>>39079453The models are made, but there's a little more than little left to do.
>Have to import the mesh into the Switch's engineEasy enough. That's maybe an hour or so for all mons total.
>Have to make sure each and every one is fitted to the new skeleton and is running properlyAgain. Maybe a couple hours. But that's grunt work.
>have to make new texture maps for each and every monThe textures in U/SM are something like 480 iirc. Textures for SwSh look at least 720, if not 1080. Either way that's a huge undertaking. You have to basically redo the entire pokemon's texture map, and then make sure everything is fitting right on the mesh. It's hours of work for each and every mon and the biggest timesink in this process.
It'd be nice if you could just upscale the texture maps, or if GF had made 4k textures they've been downscaling.... But it seems they didn't do the latter and the former is bad Photoshopping 101.
>They have to redo the learn listsThe timesink part of this is probably just the deliberation on what gets what and when and how... The actual programming part is just basic data entry. A couple hours tops.
The fact that circumstantial evidence points to them fucking being retarded again and have made all Dynamaxed mons their own models instead of a scaler on the model (which I thought they did in LGPE?)... That's probably why they were overwhelmed with all the work to be done.
Incompetence isn't really an excuse. But I am confident that that is what had happened here. (Mostly given their incompetence in every other previous game.)
