You're going to lose Yamper until the Sword & Shield Remakes 10-15+ years from now as soon as we move to Gen 9.

look anon while I think these sorts of threads are a little pathetic it's not because these people are shilling the games. They want to feel positively about pokemon and the most security for that feeling is available through a dedication to purchasing something. I don't feel like that because I have other securities: I'm making a romhack; sometimes I draw fakemon. I prefer these creative engagements to buying what looks like a bad game, but some people just want what's available. I would argue this is a horrific eventuation of gamer identification culture, excepting that I don't really care enough to accuse too many people of it when they are after all being positive rather than vile.

Why you're wrong:
1. The diamond white pupil in green - yellow aperture convey a gemstone quality that expresses typing unusually. The eyes are set gently in the corner of the brown marking, so feel fixed in the face.
2. The colour green is used affectionately in three places to evoke health and distinguish Yamper from other electric types
3. The collar and tail look like they're made of the same material, which is appropriate of similar coloureds. This integrates the tail that otherwise could seem spontaneous
4. The feet elegantly characterise Yamper as corgi, again distinguishing it from other dog pokemon who have more defined legs
5. Overall it seems playful and friendly but also alien, because many strange elements are really well placed and cohered
