Hi, past Pokemon player here looking to get back into the game. Used to enjoy competitive battling a few gens ago.

My main question is, is it worth picking up one of these games if I'm only interested in getting a few 5/6 IV Pokemon to transfer over when gen 8 comes out?

Is it easier to get 5/6 IVs through the chaining method in Let's Go, or is it about the same as regular breeding in the mainline games?
