There has been no special edition console for Sword and Shield announced yet. Every major release of a Pokemon game has been accompanied with a Pokemon themed version of the console it is coming out for. We would have already been able to pre-order this if it was coming out for the Gen 1 Switch. You can not deny we will be getting a Pokemon Switch Mini.
