It's dumb really. They should have allowed it since they already got pokemon walking the area.
>No riding pokemonThat is a bit different. The riding Pokemon in LGPE are very tailor made. They had a lot of extra effort put into their animations.
This is one of those instances where they CAN'T simply port over that animation. They would need to redo the animations to accomedate the more proper porportions of the trainers. Like, a semi-chibi loli clinging to Snorlax's belly doesn't translate as well with someone that has more realistic teen proportions.
It'd be a lot to just bring the old ride mons in, but even more time consuming to do brand new ones.
