Its not misinformation to say that shit is getting cut and we have no idea to what extent the dex is being culled, with Masuda stating that there are no plans for a patch. Fucking christ, Joe, you should be embarrassed - I think the games have some positive elements but nothing is going to make the non-transfer shit okay.

Gen 7 was honestly more captivating with it's trials, ultra beasts, and regional variants. The world and characters were also a noticable step up visually.
Now we have uhhh.. bigger Pokemon and a not-quite open world with N64 graphics.

I actually think the presentation is far better than the series has had before. Been playing Sun and Moons story a lot recently and the human character models in cutscenes are rough due to the fact they're made for top down view on 3DS. Characters emoting is pretty unnatural too. Compare that to stuff like Nessa's walk out animation and there absolutely is a massive improvement there.

In general the battle presentation is just one big step from being more dynamic too. If there was just one more thing I'd add it'd be some sort of more dynamic "idle". Maybe make certain Pokemon run around more on their side of the field. Doesn't have to have any mechanical implications. It'd just be neat to see Electrode roll around your side as it waits for you to pick a move.

It's as noticable of one nor very impressive considering just how big the leap in hardware is this time. There's a reason people called it up-scaled 3DS game on reveal. The NPC animations are still robotic in areas as evidence by the man stopping and turning on the spot after 2 steps in the demo.

Also the actual fluidity of that animation compared to SMs animations has nothing to do with hardware.

What's the point of having one lvl 19 out of 2 pokemons if you will have 6 lvl 15+ pokemon by the second you touch the gym? Why is it so hard to give gym leaders from 1 to 8, 5 to 6 pokemons with good levels and moves? Hell I'll be fine with 4 and up

You do know this dynamax thing not only gives you a boost in HP along with your stats but also give you base 120+ moves with secondary effects, right? And so far the secondary effects are really good.
