Its pre-evo is absolutely revolting. Its pre-evo is everything that I dislike in a Pokemon design and so because of that I just wrote Barbaracle off as being an abomination. It was the equivalent of glancing over an important piece of information and missing a lot of key shit in it.
After getting over its pre-evo, I took another look at it, saw art work like pic related which to be fair is remarkably faithful to the design, it just tidies it up a bit, makes it look more threatening and yeah I fucking started to like it, but then I check its stats and movepool and it's really dangerous, ended up sweeping a silly amount of teams with it just because I got up a single Shell Smash.
I love this handsome fucker now. I still hate his pre-evo but that's whatever, its pre-evo is fucking irrelevant, all that matters is the final product.
