Your hatred for Pokemon SS should be redirected to these abominations and the so-called "oldschool" fans who supported them. Kids are innocent because they don't know any better, but those played through the generations should have been aware that this was going to be a very dangerous slippery slope.

GF is indeed making a bold move by releasing a new generation without a full Pokedex, but it's thanks to LGPE that they got the guts to do so. And why wouldn't they? They still sold like hot cakes despite being incredibly lazy games that relied on recycled assets from RBY and Pokemon Go. They might have been the lowest selling "main" Pokemon games, but it's undeniable that they were a huge financial success.

Let's be honest here: if LGPE didn't exist or if it bombed, GF wouldn't even have dreamed of releasing SS without a full Pokedex (and possibly megas and Z-moves as well).

They might have dealt a fatal blow to the franchise, one that it will be almost impossible to recover from (and I'm talking about the same thing FFX-2 did to the Final Fantasy series. After that it never fully regained the respect of the fanbase), but the playerbase is responsible for allowing this.
