>>39113577GF would need write a compelling story, add side quests, a branching over world with the ability to challenge gyms in any order, and they would need to give us an actual post game. This was when I learned they were charging $60. These are low standards, that are admittedly caused by my love for the series. It has been with me for my entire life, and I was willing to overlook some of the game's shortcomings. Then they announced the cull. And the graphics still look like the 3DS.
Now, they will need to announce a complete graphical overhaul, all of the pokemon need to be added to the game, and they need to actually reconnect with the fans.
I know companies are not our friends, and that we don't have a real "relationship" with any of them, but this hurt. As I said, I grew up with Pokemon, and I know that I look over the flaws of each generation of games because of it, but this can't continue. Bethesda and Gamefreak were two of my favorite game companies, and these past two years have crushed my faith in both of them.
Honestly, I'm kinda scared that we will never see game freak meet their potential. I want to love pokemon, I want to immerse myself in SwSh and remind myself why I love this franchise, but I'm afraid I will never get the chance to do this. If nothing else, at least they can't take the memories I've made over the years, but I'm still deeply disappointing and saddened by Game Freak.
