now that more than half the pokémon are being retconned from all future game titles, how long will it be before the gamefreak apologists claim that this is a good thing and that it is saving pokémon and that all the cut pokémon were a mistake anyway?

I can understand people wanting to bring in their favorites for sentimental value, but this kind of shit is just ridiculous to me.
They aren't going to stop cycling pokemon through regional dex. We're still gonna get a new set of pokemon each game to use. Whatever game they make after S/S, be it a Sinnoh Remake or just a S/S third game/sequel, there will certainly be a very different set of available Pokemon.

The only Pokemon that has ever been totally fucked out of all future regional dex was Glameow for some reason. Everything else, even shitmon, have had reasonable cycling.
