Yes and no.

People got emotional, but rightfully so. I'd have no problem with the complaints if people didn't conflate them with bullshit that isn't directly related (primarily misinformation about GFs coding practices, but other shit too).

I say this as someone who pretty much accepted it instantly. I knew this was going to happen at some point inevitably due to the simple nature of game development not having infinite resources. The outrage is fine, just the initial reaction being so, for lack of a better word, "toxic" was bad. The hashtag campaign and continued communication of the desire for national dex to return is fine.

accept it, 99% of people simply want their hoarding dex to rot there in boxes.
Nobody uses ALL Pokemon.

It was to be expected and SM were clear indications of this when it didn't even have a national dex.
They weren't going to just keep adding shit and keep everything in every game adding up and up until they become unreasonable numbers to work with

Like what, you expect 1500 Pokemon, or 2000 eventually to be all in one game every time?

i had just a little faith in gamefreak that those overly detailed model that clearly are not optimised for the 3DS were too future proof the series and ensure they didn't have to make cuts, that they knew what they were doing in the long run.
turns out the game just ran like shit for absolutely no reason now

also if having too may shitmon is a big concern they should probably stop making every new dex 90% unusable trash on purpose

It will have your stupid battle frontier area, your stupid breeding area, your stupid exchange shop for items and move tutors, and your stupid online hub for battles and wonder trades. It's very bare bones and and will be packed with reused assets. The developers didn't want to make your cut shitmon emote for SS, boo hoo. You'll get to transfer your Glameow over and never use it in the online battle feature. Now fuck off.

I'm not angry at the fact itself, but rather at how they try justifying this by saying they needed to improve the animations and quality of the game. Even though the game looks like dogshit, and they have an unlimited budget anyway. It's the classic last straw.
