There was no "hatred". The franchise continued to do well, if not better, and the whole newness was sorely needed after the stagnant DP era.
I was there, and the games were received just as well as typically, and if you weren't a newfag, you'd know that this whole board was created because the hype season went off the charts and the front page was routinely flooded by Corocoro threads.
Now fuck off, you pathetic retard. The Unova games are a proud chapter in the history of Pokemon, its finest hour you might even say, and no amount of historical revisionism will change this fact. Be loud and be proud that you were there.
