The exp. all in gen 1 is useless if you want to raise a whole underleveled team since you can't get more than 50-60 exp per battle without removing Pokemon from your team, which defeats the purpose. I can cut A LITTLE slack for a game like Phantasy Star 2 (which was released 7-8 years prior) having a terrible exp. spread, but this was 1996 and most developers by then found out a good balance when it comes to team exp. And if you're still going to defend this, this is one of your hard-earned rewards in the game, and this was NEVER fixed in Yellow.
