The black dog is a common one where I’m from, there also wisps from Scotland/Celtic myths, plenty of haunted castles and underground tunnels, bogeymen, women if you’re from Ireland and probably plenty more

There's probably going to be a small handful of Ghost-type Pokemon based on myths and legends that have nothing to do with the countries upon which the regions are based. Like, we'll probably get a Grass/Ghost-type Ba Jiao Gui-based Pokemon or something. We really need to learn not to take a region's basis too far. We usually just end up looking like the world's yugest retards if the games don't cater to all our hopes and expectations.
