Those who are assuming Ash will win the Alola league must be the most delusional retards ever. Only because the ending will momentarily shift to Tipe:WILD and most of the participants are in the lowest part of the power and skill hierarchy doesn't mean Ash will win this one. Kalos had all the Iku Z! song and publicity hype, yet look at how things ended. There's Guzma and Cuckui's backstory, so there's still a higher chance at Guzma winning the league and mindrape Ash because it's gonna be the 1st time Ash's gonna lose and be nationally humilliated by one of the main villains. Therefore, two of the pieces of the current opening lyrics will be real. The one about Ash lowering his cap to hide his tears of resentment towards Alolians and the other where they describe Ash as someone uncool, pathetic, stubborn and weak, but with a dying passion inside his eyes. The farewell episode is indeed setting it up be a tearjerker, but not in a good way, with Ash, having a big argument against all his classmates and going BSoD for that, and then when he's taking the plane, he recieves a letter from all the mele mele kids. Cue the opening plays. Ash gets in the plane and returns to Kanto shedding the most bitter tears hevs shed ever. Just think of the Ojamajo Doremi Dokka~n! grand finale, but without the friends being there to take him out of his petty depressive bullshit.

If Ash, by some asspull-ish way wins the league, then it will be downplayed, unglorified and will have negative effects to Ash's psyche. Masked Royal will destroy his sorry ass and point Ash's overconfidence and undeserved pride after winning a league, thus Ash gets mindbroken.

There's NO FUCKING WAY a weakling with an uncomplete team of misfits and NFE weakass shitmons would win this league. If he didn't manage to win the Kalos league with a team of 5 fully evolved mons, then WHAT THE FUCK MAKES YOU THINK HE'S GONNA WIN THIS TIME IF HIS TEAM IS A FUCKING JOKE?? A!!! FUCKING!! JOKE!
