The series is too popular for its own good. Every other series has to actually try to sell their games. Meanwhile Pokemon can continue to cut corners and fans will continue to buy it simply for being a mainline Pokemon game.

Two franchises I like are dead, at least HAL is pretty based and tried to fix Kirby star allies when it was unfinished, and I have way more respect for the company for making free DLC instead of going

The fact that LGPE came out and Gamefreak were willing to give it a 60$ price tag is disgusting, at least Sega knew Sonic Forces wasn't worth that much.
I hope kirb doesn't go down this path

Why because 64 existed? I think it was a pretty fun game, just because it's 3D Mario doesn't make it nostalgiafaggotry. I would like to see more of the Mario 64 style just because I think it's fun.

It was literally unfinished, anon. Half-finished Magolor friend data in the original files and then having to update tracks a week after release. It's clear they wanted to release the game with all the dream friends and everything initially.

Glad they released everything as free DLC down the line. Turned it into one of my favorite Kirby games.

i blame nintendo for star allies' launch. it's obvious they made hal rush the game. and a lot of other nintendo games on the switch feel similarly unfinished and sparse - such as super mario party only having 4 boards and botw having no dungeons. at least hal put effort in to fix their product.

It was most likely to give switch as many games possible to make up for the Wii U, I still don't agree with what Nintendo most likely did, but I understand why it happened, Hopefully they will ease up now.

Even Sonic fans got their terrible movie a less terrible CGI Sonic after their complaints were heard and understood.

Matsuda, Ohmori, and Nintendo have been bombarded with similar (if not louder) feedback regarding the National Dex for a longer period and STILL theres no sign of change.

For all of Sega and Sonic Team's blunders, they've never stopped caring about Sonic, or their fans. They just keep fucking it up. Gamefreak, meanwhile, just can't be bothered to put in the effort, or even just hire more workers to develop this stuff. On top of that, they also blatantly ignore any and all fan feedback for the series, which has just left them out of touch with what their hardcore fans really want. Gamefreak isn't the next Sega, they're worse than Sega.

I remember when pic related came out, full of soul, in a time when Sonic probably should've died...I do have hope that eventually they'll nail it again, because they haven't stopped trying. These days they have more communication with the fans, too.
