How did you expect something that every single Pokemon can do to disproportionately help shitmons? The point wasn't to balance any Pokemon in particular, it was to be a more balanced mechanic than megas and z-moves were.

When something is said to enhance fighting, i imagine OTHER STAT BOOSTS TOO, NOT JUST FUCKING HP AND Z MOVES 2.0
If it's meant to replace megas, something that could've well been reimplement in a less shit fucking way to make more shit mons competitively viable, then i expect it to do fucking more than be a literal useless gimmick except on tanks, which usually, are almost always competitively fucking viable

That's different. Megas have an entirely different BST and stat allocation than base forms. Dynamax would be a flat stat boost, akin to using something like Howl, which would not show up in the stat screen.

However judging by Joe's demo footage it does indeed look to be a HP increase only.

Hypothetically it wouldnt be hidden because theres a stat modification screen easily viewable in gen 8.

But on Joe's demo video, he looks at that screen after dynamaxing and nothing is changed. So if nothing is changed there, and nothing is changed in the summary screen, then it seems obvious it's only an HP boost plus the Max moves.
