With Megas, you could at least tell which Pokemon would use it, several Megas were very moderate, and if your mega dies before using it, you would be fucked.
Now imagine fight a team with a bunch of wincons, wallbreakers, and even offensive pivots, but any one of them can get a +1 boost to every stat, higher HP, stronger moves that can summon weather/terrain/tailwind/buffs/debuffs, you can still hold an item, and let’s say you lose the Pokemon you wanted to Dynamax. You can just use another Pokemon on your team.
That last point is definitely going to be the most cancerous part though. It honestly would be fine if it required an item, as you can’t just sack what ever you want if your super powered Pokemon is hand selected on the team builder
